Root Chakra - Is it Balanced

Today we will have a look at the Root Chakra. 

Just even a 5 minute meditation a day focussing on your Root Chakra can bring the chakra into balance. A fun way to subconsciously be working with your root chakra is wear the colour red, wear crystal jewellery associated with the Root Chakra. Or slip a Red Carnelian crystal into your pocket.

Root chakra - First Chakra

Sanskrit Name: Muladhara

Location : Base of Spine

Colour: Red

Element: Earth

Essential Oil: Patchouli, Rose Geranium, Ylang Ylang, Lavender, Cedarwood, Rosewood, Grapefruit.

Crystals: Red Carnelian, Red Jasper, Blood Stone.

This chakra is about grounding to the physical world, self preservation and survival.

The body areas associated with the root chakra are your spine, legs, feet, colon, and adrenal glands. This is the chakra to work with when you need grounding in your life.

If your root chakra is balanced will have the following characteristics: you will find it easy to be grounded, have stability around you, you find it easy to be in stillness, you comfortable with prosperity, you will have good over all health,  you will feel a sense of safety and security, and find it easy being present in the moment.

When your Root chakra is out of balance a variety of ailments can occur. From blockages,  including anxiety disorders, fears, or nightmares. Physically, the first chakra is associated with problems in the colon, with the bladder, with elimination, or with lower back, leg, or feet issues.

In all areas of my life I am very grounded and stable. I am secure. I am strong. I am prosperous. I am healthy. I am balanced. All is well in my world.
